To answer your questions 1. This change will not affect your zoning. This proposal is only for the Future Land Use Plan which is separate from the zoning. The Future Land Use Plan is used as a guide for future rezonings to help our staff and planning commissioners decide whether a rezoning would be appropriate or not. If you as the property owner would like to rezone your property to an industrial use, that zoning would likely be approved more readily if the future land use plan showed the property as Industrial on the Plan. If you do not wish to rezone, it will have no immediate affect on your property. 2. If in the future you would like to sell your property, you would be able to market the property at "Potential Industrial uses." 3. We are only proposing to change the Future Land Use Plan, not the zoning. 4. Your recourse is to tell us what you want us to do with your property. If you do not approved of this change, simply tell me and we will take it off the proposal. You should have a say in the matter and that is why we sent you a letter. 5. This proposed change may help your property become more valuable, but that is not a certainty. Please let me know what other questions or concerns you have. Thank you again for your interest. How will this change affect us as property owners? 2. What does this mean for the future? 3. How can you change the description from "Res. Medium density" to "Industrial" without re -zoning it? 4. What recourse, if any, do we have as property owners and should we not have a say in the matter? 5. How will this proposed change affect the value of our property? Awaiting your immediate reply. Best regards Lester & Betty McFadden 6/1/2010
