future land use
Director Hendrix,
The Planning Department has begun reviewing the Future Land Use Plan by planning districts. The first two planning
districts in this review include the port area and the airport area east of 1-30. We have proposed several small changes to
the land use plan in an effort to update the future plan for this area. These changes have been discussed in the
department only, and our next step would be to contact the property owners for the proposed changes. We have not set a
date for the Planning Commission yet.
I am attaching two maps with the proposed changes shown in red. I am also attaching a list of the land use plan
categories. Please let me know if you need any more information on this.
