Forgive my delay. We were in DC and I couldn't get back to you. I'll give
you a short answer and will be glad to give a longer one if you need it.
We do have a growth plan. It goes down to about Harper Road. Actually, the
area you show on your attached map is correct, just a little larger than
we've planned for. But I suppose it depends on how long one is planning
for!! Our plan is not electronic. If you need it, we could US Mail it to
you, or you're welcome to pick one up.
If you see the "ag" in the middle of your map, then that would be about the
south end of where we're looking at the moment. The County has it
designated as "Agricultural/Industrial".
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more.

Subject: future land use
Mr. Latture,
I work in the City's Planning and Development department, and we have been
working to update the Future Land Use plan for the airport/port areas. The
Future Land Use plan shows most of the port area as 'Industrial.'
Do you have a map or a general idea of where or how much land the port might
need in the next 10-15 years? Much of the vacant land in this area is shown
as Agricultural and most of the land shown as Industrial has already been
developed. It seems that we need to show room for expansion of industrial
uses, but we are looking for guidance on where and how much to show. I am
attaching a map of the current future land use plan for this area.
Thanks so much for your help. If there is someone who could better answer
these questions, please let me know.
