From: Malone, Walter [mailto:WMalone@littlerock.org] Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2008 2:12 PM To: Robyn Allmendinger Subject: RE: Willis/Valley Ranch Drive re -zoning After some discussion, Staff has decided to place the Land Use Plan Amendment (LU08-20-02) back before the Planning Commission. It will be on their October 2, 2008 agenda for action. The applicant and all those who spoke will be notified of this hearing to decide the LUP item (the Low Density Residential to Multifamily request). Walter Malone, AICP Planning Manager -----Original Message ----- From: Robyn Allmendinger[mailto:RALLMENDINGER@RoseLawFirm.com] Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 12:04 PM To: Malone, Walter Cc: Gary Garrett Subject: Willis/Valley Ranch Drive re -zoning 8/28/2008 Page 3 of 3 Hi Walter, Thank you for speaking with me yesterday about the Valley Ranch Drive land use amendment and re -zoning to MF -12, which we are opposing on behalf of one of our clients. As I stated in our call, we do not believe that an MF -12 zoning is allowed under a Low Density Residential land use category. I have attached the Planning Commission's own descriptions of the various land use categories and the City ordinance that established these categories. Both documents specify that a LDR land use can have no more than 10 units per acre. Therefore, MF -12 zoning is not appropriate in this category. understand you will speak with Tony Bozynski regarding this and get back with me. I look forward to hearing from you.
