HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance draft E LUP packagePage 1 of 4 ORDINANCE NO. ____________ 1 2 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE PLAN 3 (16,222) IN THE AREA EAST OF INTERSTATE-4 530/UNION PACIFIC RR LINE WITHIN THE CITY’S 5 PLANNING JURISDICTION AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the future Land Use Plan should be reviewed periodically to 9 maintain its accuracy and usefulness, and; 10 11 WHEREAS, City Staff has reviewed the area in question provided, 12 considering the existing use and zoning patterns as well as trends in development in 13 the area, and; 14 15 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission has reviewed the package 16 of suggested changes and now recommends them for adoption. 17 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 19 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK. 20 21 SECTION 1. The area generally southeast of the Marshall – 7th Street 22 intersection is amended from Commercial (C) to Public Institutional (PI). (LU18-01-23 01) 24 25 SECTION 2. The area either side of Arch Street, north of La Harpe 26 Boulevard is amended from Mixed Use – Urban (MXU) to Public Institutional (PI). 27 (LU18-01-02A) 28 29 SECTION 3. An area along the south bank of the Arkansas River from 30 Broadway to the Union Pacific Rail line is amended from Mixed Use – Urban (MXU) 31 to Park/Open Space (PK/OS). (LU18-01-02B) 32 Page 2 of 4 1 SECTION 4. An area south of Roosevelt Road at South Pulaski Street is 2 amended from Residential Low Density (RL) to Commercial (C). (LU18-01-03) 3 4 SECTION 5. An area east of Broadway, between 22nd and 23rd Streets is 5 amended from Public Institutional (PI) to Mixed Use (MX). (LU18-01-04A) 6 7 SECTION 6. An area east of Spring Street, between 23rd and 24th Streets is 8 amended from Mixed Use (MX) to Residential Low Density (RL). (LU18-01-04B) 9 10 SECTION 7. An area generally north of Roosevelt Road, between Spring and 11 Louisiana Streets is amended from Residential High Density (RH) to Mixed Use 12 (MX). (LU18-01-04C) 13 14 SECTION 8. An area generally southeast of the Springer Boulevard – 15 Carolina Street intersection is amended from Commercial (C) to Public Institutional 16 (PI). (LU18-01-05) 17 18 SECTION 9. An area south of Thibault Road and west of Frazier Pike is 19 amended from Agricultural (AG) to Industrial (I). (LU18-01-06A) 20 21 SECTION 10. An area southwest of the Thibualt Road – Frazier Pike 22 intersection is amended from Agricultural (AG) to Public Institutional (PI). (LU18-23 01-06B) 24 25 SECTION 11. An area east of Frazier Pike along the Arkansas River is 26 amended from Agricultural (AG) and Park/Open Space (PK/OS) to Industrial (I). 27 (LU18-01-06C) 28 29 SECTION 12. An area east of Springer Boulevard and south of Interstate 440 30 is amended from Park/Open Space (PK/OS) to Public Institutional (PI). (LU18-01-31 07A) 32 Page 3 of 4 1 SECTION 13. An area west of Springer Boulevard and south of Interstate 2 440 is amended from Commercial (C) to Residential High Density (RH). (LU18-01-3 07B) 4 5 SECTION 14. An area is generally north and east of Dixson Road to Wilbern 6 Road is amended from Mining (M) to Park/Open Space (PK/OS). (LU18-01-08A) 7 8 SECTION 15. An area is generally east of Dixon Road between Shambruger 9 and Ahart Lanes is amended from Residential low Density (RL) to Public 10 Institutional (PI). (LU18-01-08B) 11 12 SECTION 16. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, 13 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be 14 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the 15 remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if 16 the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a 17 part of the ordinance. 18 19 SECTION 17. Repealer.
