I am part of the process that approves changes to the structures and sties in the MacArthur Local Ordinance Historic District. The house at 901 Cumberland was approved by the Little Rock Historic District in early 2016. That approval included construction of the house and some fences. The fence approved was located on the south side of the property. The neighbor to the south built their fence which was also approved by the commission, so in practice some of your fencing has already been done. The fence approved is shown in the submittals for the original house. If you build that fence exactly, I can approve your permit since it was approved by the commission yet never built. I can approve installing a gate on the front to hook up with the neighbor’s fence. I can also approve a connection on the southeast corner of your house to the south to connect with the neighbor’s fence. The sketches are below. The fence on the east side of the property was never approved. It will require approval by the Commission which will require a public hearing, filing fees, notices to property owners, etc. Here is a link to the application on our website. https://www.littlerock.gov/media/5016/historic-district-commission-application-2019.pdf Please call me on my direct line at 371-4789 if you need. I am in the office but we are closed for customer traffic. If I can assist you on getting this property on the next agenda, please let me know. With the Covid-19 pandemic, our meeting dates are uncertain.
