Excerpt of City Code;
Section 23-116, Exemptions
Nothing in this division shall:
(a) Prevent the ordinary maintenance or repair of any exterior architectural feature in
the historic district created by this division which does not involve a change in design,
material, or outer appearance thereof, nor to prevent the construction, reconstruction,
alteration, restoration or demolition of any such feature which the building inspector or
other agent of the city shall certify is required by the public safety because of an unsafe or
dangerous condition.
Project description with Conditions listed;
1) Demolition
a) Remove building including wood, brick, masonry steps, and construction debris.
b) Remove any debris and trash from the entirety of the sites.
c) Fill any holes in the site.
d) This certificate of Appropriateness does not include removing all trees and shrubs
from the site or bulldozing the site.

I, Jarrod Gray beim; duly sworn, depose and state; 1 have inspected the structure
located at 1419 Commerce Street, February 16, 2020. This building is extensively
damaged by #ire. In its present condition, the building constitutes an immediate fire
hazard to the community and is otherwise dangerous to human life. This building
should be removed, repaired or demolished as soon as possible for the health, safety
and welfare of the community.

Brian,
Per your request I have inspected the above referenced structure. This was a vacant single family wood structure that
was extensively damaged as a result of a fire that occurred recently. It is my professional opinion that the structure is
beyond repair and should be razed and removed as soon as possible in order to protect the welfare and safety of the
citizens of Little Rock.

Mr. Cleveland Thornas, the owner, came in today and stated that he know it was a total loss. He wants to take care of
the demolition himself. But he wants to wait until the fire dept. has finished their investigation,
