They need to put it back on or file a COA (Public Hearing) to leave it off. That comes under the ‘change of appearance”
in the state law and city ordinance. COA for public hearing takes at least a month to get in front of the commission plus
abstract company to find all owners and certified return receipt mailings to neighbors. Here is a link to the

The 411 house was it. As of now they don’t want to put any handrail back on the new steps – it has a wooden one on
there now.

I only had new metal handrail at 409. We can leave it on there, it does not hurt. If they decide later, you already have
approval.
Which other house did you think you were adding a handrail? I have repair or reinstall at 411.
601 was repair of handrail or guardrail that is apparently rotten or soft wood.

The partners decided to not add handrails to the steps of either house; everything else is correct. I would like to keep
that as an option though, in case they change their minds.
The first project is the steps – we will start that as soon as permits issued.

PLEASE check these for the correct address and the correct work that is to be done on each house. I revised the COCs
that had been issued back in February for the two concrete steps replacement and added the additional work.
I need both of you to approve these before permits can be issued. As soon as I hear from both, I will take the copies to
the permit desk. Sherrie, I will mail you the originals.
