Dear Mr. Banks:
Due to extraordinary conditions of fire destroying the
Fashion Park Cleaners at 1101 Cumberland Street, the Little
Rock Historic District Commission has agreed to allow for a
temporary metal mobile -type building to be placed on
property across Cumberland Street as a means to conduct your
daily operations.
The Commission requests that 1) the temporary building be
removed within 4 months, by September 1, 1988; 2) that
landscaping on the temporary site be undisturbed -
absolutely no trees be trimmed or removed for any reason
including utility hook-ups, and damaged sod be replaced upon
vacating; 3) and that any temporary sign meet Historic
District Ordinance requirements.

Dear Mr. Banks:
We have reviewed your request for a mobile home to be placed
on the State right-of-way across the street from the
cleaners building that was damaged by the fire. It is my
understanding that the mobile home will have a skirt placed
around it and that a number of the neighbors have indicated
that they have no objections to the mobile home being placed
there temporarily.
Approval of your request is hereby granted subject to: (1)
compliance with the conditions specified by the Little Rock
Historic District Commission; (2) approval by the Arkansas
State Highway and Transportation Department; and (3)
approval by the State Historic Preservation Program office.
Please contact the Little Rock Department of Public Works at
701 W. Markham to obtain the necessary City permit.
We were sorry to learn about the fire and hope that the
temporary facility will enable you to maintain your business
activities at that location while rebuilding.

11th Street behind my business, Arkansas Business Systems, located
at 1020 Rock Street.
