I am copying Paul Porter on this email. As I stated on the phone, I usually approve some minor replacement of soffit and fascia pieces of wood at the same time. Your quote does not say, but have you considered installing a drip edge? If so, please let me know. We will wait on Paul’s response. After his approval, I will print a draft to send to you for your approval. With your approval, I will then prepare the final version that is signed and dated. I will mail the original to you and provide copies at the permit desk to clear any flags in the permitting system. We hope to have this approved by the end of the week. As we discussed, I am purchasing the property from the current owner on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. There has been some hail damage and the roof needs to be replaced. I have spoken with my contractor and he recommends Tamko Architectural Shingles in Rustic Black or Weathered Wood. Can you please tell me whether either of these shingles can be approved? I would like to proceed as quickly as possible with having the roof replaced.
