Subject: RE: Storm Windows for Arsenal Building
Good morning Stephan,
I forwarded the proposal to Brian as he would be reviewing the plans and specs for an FY19 grant for this project at the
US Arsenal. I hope everything works out for doing this project as the storm windows would help protect the windows
and improve the energy consumption for the building.
Cheers,
Paul

Paul,
The museum has been approved by the City to work with Caran Curry and the Grants
Department to submit a Historic Preservation Restoration Grant in 2018. The letter of intent
was submitted earlier this week. We are requesting funds to install storm windows on the
Arsenal Building. If approved, the timing will be great, since the windows will have just been
2
repainted as part of the porch renovation project. I have attached a quote from SEARK
Enterprises of Pine Bluff, which is the same company that installed the storm windows on the
Old State House Museum a few years ago. Can you review the proposal and let me know if
you see a problem? I know AHPP will need to provide a letter of approval due to the façade
easement. We can then use the letter to get approval from both the federal and local
folks. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks so much for your
help.
