Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to express support for the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military
History's application seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for the installation of
Allied One Lite storm windows on the U.S. Arsenal Building.
Most importantly, the Allied One Lite windows will not detract from the appearance of
the original multi -pane windows, a character -defining feature of this National Historic
Landmark. In addition, they will protect the wooden window frames and sills from
deterioration and improve energy efficiency. Allied One Lite storm windows were
installed with success at the Old State House Museum, another National Historic
Landmark.
I urge the Historic District Commission to grant a Certificate of Appropriateness for
