Yes, you need an application for a new sign. Here is a link to the Guidelines: https://www.littlerock.gov/for- businesses/planning-and-development/boards-commissions/local-ordinance-district/ Section VII E of the guidelines deals with signs. The ordinance states that you must receive a COA before a sign permit can be issued. I am busy till 2:30. But will be in the office afterwards. I am not adding a structure. Only affixing a new name on the existing sign structure. Do I need an application for that? With regard to the roof, I already have the approval documents from you and Paul for that. Is there something else I need? I am in the office today after 2:00 if we need to speak by phone. Are you available then? Thank you, Lyndsey D. Dilks DILKS LAW FIRM P.O. Here is a link to the application page. https://www.littlerock.gov/media/1774/historic-district-commission-application- 2 2016.pdf The application deadline is March 9th for a hearing on April 9th. You will need to start the title/abstract company now to get the property owners names and addresses. See the instructions on the application for clarification. On the door paint color, the HDC does not review that. Painting a color that is already on the house sounds like a good idea. On the roofing, I will need to issue you a COC Certificate of Compliance to show that your work is in compliance with the maintenance guidelines. Your roofers will not be able to get a building permit without it. If you have a quote from them, you may scan and send it to me. I will send back a draft for you to approve before I issue the COC. The roof should be on in the next few weeks. We had to replace some siding and that has to be painted, then the roof goes on. Of course, all this rain has set everything back. The choice seems to be between the red band being on the address or on “The Lash Queen”. Either way, it looks great. I think since it is going to be mounted on the same posts and will be the same dimensions as the existing signage that it is a non-issue for me. Brian, do you need an official ok from me? As for paint colors, that is up to your personal taste from the easement perspective. I don’t know if the city has guidelines on that. Have your roofers finished the project yet? If so, how did it turn out? I hope you are pleased with the work. I have attached a couple of drafts that the designer sent over. We plan to use the existing sign structure. These three signs will be affixed to the structure. At least that is my understanding. That is how it was done by the previous owner. Do these proofs meet the easement guidelines? If not, please let me know what needs to be done to be within the guidelines. Also, I intend to paint the front door the same color as the windows, a burnt red. Is this something that needs to be approved? I believe it will be a significant improvement to the façade of the home. Again, please let me know if there is something else that needs to be done. I very much appreciate the assistance.
