I really would like to be able to give my friend, who was just appointed to the Historic District Commission last night, an approximate time table for this work to be done. Is that a possibility? Rock. I anticipate within the next two weeks. Our entire bidding process had to be changed in order to conform with new purchasing requirements. If you will look back in your email stream, I initially inquired about this on May 10 for a friend of mine who purchased the house at that address. She is still in the remodeling process so is not living there yet. She is there daily working on the house though. I ran into her at Trio's today and learned that nothing had happened since my first email with the exception of a little trash pick up early on. I understand that the property had to go through the process of the MacArthur Historic District requirements which I understand took place in in June. When will the structure be demolished? My friend says there is absolutely no push back from the owner. My friend is understandably frustrated, as I am, to see that the process takes so long. The structure is an eye sore and a haven for vagrants. People have been using it as a bathroom. A house just three doors down from 1019 South Rock sold for $300,000 very recently. Can you please explain the delay to me? When she and her partner have called to get an update, they feel as though they are being put off and getting the runaround. Please let me know as soon as possible, and give me a date so that I can let them no when to expect demolition. We did some cutting and cleaning and Brian Minyard and I are working on complying with the McArthur Historic District requirements prior to demolishing the accessory structure. The house is deteriorated as well, but the neighbors said there may be buyers but the owner is difficult to contact. We will continue to try and locate 3 him. I anticipate having a resolution within a week and I already have the emergency demo bid and contractor selected. -----Original Message----- From: Director Peck Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2018 7:49 AM To: Garland, Ed <egarland@littlerock.gov>; Turner, Victor <vturner@littlerock.gov> Cc: Bender, Larra <lbender@littlerock.gov>; Jones, James E. <jejones@littlerock.gov> Subject: 1019 South Rock and surrounding area
