Having a hearing on a structure being used for illicit acts is a waste of time in my opinion. Maybe we need to get CAO input on comparing ordinances. This is a emergency demo based on condition of structure, location to museum, etc. My suggestion is get the public hearings scheduled and I'm proceeding with obtaining bids. > > My staff and I met with the neighbors last week and they expect the CLR to do what we can based on law. > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Apr 19, 2018, at 10:02 AM, Minyard, Brian <BMinyard@littlerock.gov> wrote: >> >> Ed, I agree that this structure should be demolished. However, this is in the MacArthur Park Local Ordinance Historic District and is visible from the street. The ordinance states that a public hearing will be required. I do want Mr. Lamb to be in front of the HDC to answer questions about his property, both the house and the shed. It is one of my half-dozen of bad properties. >> >> The question is does Housing pay for his fees associated with filing for a Demolition and then put a lien on his property for it? How could we make him file and do the abstract list and certified mail? I heard that Public Works was over there cleaning day before yesterday. Hopefully they are putting a lien on it also. >> 2 >> Any thoughts?
