Copper does hold up better over the long term, so I think it is worth the investment. Brian Minyard had asked to see a sample of the drip edge. Have you been able to find it on a website for us to look at? We’ll need that for the approval letters from me and the COA from the city. I hope the tree trimming isn’t too expensive, but it will be worth it to not have it damage the roof again. Good luck with your research on the design of the roof cresting. The house across the street…are you referring to the green house with the picket fence around it? I think I can shed some light on that. Charles and Becky Witsell rehabbed the house that you are now in, and they also rehabbed the green house across the street that Becky had her art studio in for a number of years. That house is called the Bragg Duplex that Katy Elliot and Shelby Baker now own. I don’t recall if you have shown me a copy of the template, but I could probably help you identify it. BTW yes the storm you remember was the one that took out the cresting. I actually didn't notice it until recently (Just the front rooster is what I noticed). I should have the tree guy out at the end of the month to prevent the new ones from being damaged (although it's not eligible for tax credits). I was able to get a hold of Kay Tatum and she thinks the template I found for the cresting may be for the house accross the street. I'll look into it more when I'm back in town this weekend. 2 PS. Looks like their estimate went up 4k over the last year.....
