Yes, I do need a letter from you for my files and to get through the permit desk upstairs.
Here is a photo of what the church did. They are a little chunky, but from the street are not that visible. Another option
is what the church did at 1601 S Louisiana. They are on the 16th street side at the rear of the church.

Hi Lyndsey and Brian,
Lyndsey, it was great talking with you on the phone. Sorry the a/c unit went out on you and the expense of replacing it.
Since the units are going to be sitting in the same location on the concrete pad at the northwest corner of the house, I
have no issue with the project. I would like to see a graphic of the proposed security measures to keep the new units
from being stolen. Hopefully it will be something that can be attached to the existing concrete pad or driven into the
ground to secure the units.
Brian, did the Lutheran Church that owns the Welch-Cherry House install some metal security enclosure around their
condensing units? I seem to recall them doing something like that. Also, do you need to issue a permit for the work, and
if so do you need a sign off letter from me?
Hope you both have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Paul

Subject: 1008 Cumberland - Replacing and Securing A/C Units
Good afternoon,
Unfortunately the downstairs air conditioning unit has “died” at the 1008 Cumberland Street property that I own. I have
spoken with my contractor and his estimate for replacing both upstairs and downstairs units is attached. I have chosen
the 15 SEER Comfort Carrier Air condition System with gas heat for $14,560.
I spoke with Brian Minyard earlier today and I left a voice message for Paul Porter.
I have also attached photos of the property depicting the current units and their placement.
I am requesting permission to replace both units.
I am also requesting permission to enclose the units to prevent theft and/or damage to the units. I am open to
suggestions regarding the type of enclosure. Brian mentioned that perhaps black ornamental iron would be appropriate.
My contractor suggested the saem thing and I believe he could do it for less than $1,000.00. Please let me know what
you need from me to make this happen.
I appreciate your time! Please do not hesitate to reach me on my cell if you need to do so (501)786-0719.
Kindest regards,
Lyndsey D. Dilks
