Dear Mr. Mourning,
Your application HDC18-034 for Fencing, at 1002 Cumberland and 215-221 E 10th Street will
be heard before the Historic District Commission on December 10, 2018. The hearing will be
held in the Board Room at City Hall at 500 West Markham on the second floor. The meeting will
begin at 5:00 p.m.
Your application will be item Five on the agenda. You or your agent must be present in order
for the item to be heard.
Please follow directions exactly when giving ten days’ notice to all property owners as stated in
the application on page 3 instructions #4 and #5. Use “HDC18-034” to complete your mailing
labels as shown in the instructions.
The application form states that “A description of materials for all exterior surfaces listed above
shall be provided to Staff at time of filing. Web site addresses are appropriate but cut sheets of
individual materials are preferred.” The following information will need to be submitted to Staff
by November 19, 2018 to complete your filing. If you are not including any of the items below,
please respond with “not applicable”.
Fencing on site: Provide manufacturer and model number and height for the fence around the
parking lot, both the metal sections and the wood sections. For the wood section, you may
describe it as, for example, a 6’ wood privacy fence dog ear top (type of wood, i.e. cedar) fence.
If you are going to propose fences exactly the same model as the Clayton, please state so.

Guidelines for Rehabilitation and New Construction December 2016. Failure to provide all
information requested above in a complete manner before 5:00 pm November 19, 2018, will
result in a Staff recommendation of Deferral on this application.
