Subject: Caroline Row Fence
Paul
Thanks for visiting with me about Caroline Row Apts. I want to complete the original fencing that is on the front and side of
the property. I also want to replace the missing gates which were stolen years ago and continue the original fencing to
secure the front of the property. I have enclosed a survey with my notes showing the extension of the fencing and new
fencing and automobile gates for the parking lot. I am also enclosing a pamphlet, that the fence contractor states is the
original fence foundry. We are buying the posts and posts from them to duplicate the actual existing posts on the
property. There are existing filigree pieces inside the existing posts that are missing. Stewart Iron Works says they can
supply the exact pieces. When our historic fence is completed, it should be an exact replica of the one that was around
the building at the time of installation. Again, the fence that is standing at the property is only a large piece of what was
installed at the time. It is our desire to have this fence appear as 'original' to the casual observer, since we are using the
original fence foundry.
Our desire for the rest of the fencing around the parking lot is to have the same design as The Clayton . We believe that
fencing similar to the Clayton will make the area a safer place to live and attract more affluent people to downtown Little
Rock.
Thanks
