There is existing historic fencing that is located on the Cumberland street and 10`h St sides of the property. This fencing, which is 36" in height, is not complete. Angel wishes to complete the fencing and replace the missing parts for an improved appearance and security. The original fence foundry that supplied the historic fence was discovered by the wrought iron fence contractor. The gate posts, missing filigree in the existing posts, gates, and spear heads will be supplied by Stewart Iron Works to match the existing fence. After installation, Angel will paint the wrought iron fence making the new fence and missing parts indistinguishable from the existing fence. Angel Properties wishes to install metal and wood fencing around the parking lot in a similar manner to The Clayton for security purposes. Auto gates will be installed at each end of the parking lot giving the development security and attracting more affluent residents. Angel Properties recognizes that Caroline Row Apartments are historic and contribute to the downtown and Macarthur Park area and is sensitive to this development. Founded in 1862, Stewart Iron Works' tradition and international reputation is one of "artistry in metal". Stewart designed products have been known for generations for their excellence and balance of beauty and function. The Stewart legacy is proudly on display at the United States Capitol, The Panama Canal, Walt Disney World Resort, and Bourbon Street, New Orleans, along with thousands of community parks and public places throughout our country. The Stewart shield has graced The White House and the British Embassy in Washington, D. C. and private properties of significance throughout the world. Stewart's skilled designers, engineers and craftsmen, not only create today's custom masterpieces, but are renowned for their ability to tackle almost any restoration project — preserving yesterday's treasures and heritage! Stewart's restorations include: President Hayes Museum, Freemont, Ohio; William Howard Taft Museum and Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio; Lt. Governor Mansion, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Island; the Ligonier Fountain, Ligonier, Pa.; and the replication of this restored fountain for Babylon, N.Y. While we are proud of the work we have accomplished, we are most motivated by the challenges of metal masterpieces we have yet to recreate. Whatever you dream of creating, Stewart's craftsmen will bring it to life — to enjoy today, and to treasure for generations yet to follow!
