Conservation Easement Project Review
Historic Resource Number PU2898
Dear Ms. McSwain:
This letter is in response to the proposed project plans submitted to the
Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) for our review. As you
are aware, AHPP holds a Deed of Conservation Easement on this
property and we are required to review and approve any alterations
that affect the exterior appearance of the building and property
grounds.
We have reviewed the proposed storage shed construction plans and
the low profile Allied storm window installation plans you submitted.
AHPP staff members have determined that the proposed work meets
the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. The design of
the storage shed complements the architecture of the main house, and
the storm windows proposed are the same variety as what is o n the
Old State House in downtown Little Rock. We have no outstanding
concerns and approve of the work plans submitted. For phased
projects, plans for each phase of the project need to be submitted to
our office for review and approval.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at
Paul.Porter@arkansas.gov or at (501) 683-6672.
Sincerely,
Paul Porter
