Gentlemen;
We own the property located at 9309 West Markham. The residence is
2 -story, 2750 square feet, 3 bathrooms, level lot and listed for sale at
SIANG. It has been for sale for twenty months and all the interested
parties fall into two categories: Mose who want us to give the property
away at a ridiculously low price and Mose who would be willing to pay
full price if they could establish a "quiet business" use of the property,
i.e., law office, insurance office, appraiser's office. Both categories base
Meir estimation of the property's worth on its location on West
Markham. Those wanting to use it for a "quiet business" and willing to
pay an adequate price for the property have been told the property
would have to have a zoning change.
This is why I am requesting this zoning change. I have spoken with my
neighbors on West Markham and they have no objections to this
proposed land use change. Below are the names and addresses and
signatures of those neighbors who support me in this effort.

Regarding our phone conversation on December 7, 1998, I feel it would be unwise to zone
the house on Markham as commercial since there are four houses on Pryor that is on the
same block with Burlington Coat Factory. If anything needs to be zoned, it should be kept
east of Pryor instead of crossing the street and going west.

Gentlemen:
The subject request for 9309 West Markham is scheduled for hearing on
February 4, 1999. We wish to register our opposition to this proposal.
We are residents of this neighborhood and wish to keep it as it has been for
more than 30 years. Most of the other owners in this area are in agreement
with us that the value of our properties would be adversely affected by this
piecemeal zoning change.
