This structure has already been approved by the Board of Directors to be razed. All notices are sent by regular and certified mail, and the property has been posted. Thanks. Rick, Please confirm that this property has been before the Board of Directors, and that the procedure I provided is correct. Thanks. From: Latimer, Sherri Sent: Friday, February 8, 2019 5:26 PM To: Overton, Shawn <soverton@littlerock.gov> Cc: Latimer, Sherri <slatimer@littlerock.gov>; Minyard, Brian <BMinyard@littlerock.gov> Subject: HDC demo - question Shawn, the Historic District Commission has a demolition on their agenda Monday. If the Commission approves the demo, what is the next step? ACA 14-172-209 requires the person who wants to demo the building to get a certificate of appropriateness. (In this case it’s the City that wants to raze the building.) ACA 14-56-203 authorizes cities of the first class to demo buildings. There’s no guidance on what to do in between. Does the HDC just need to put it on the Board of Directors’ agenda? If so, what kind of notice is required? You’re the expert and I’m in the dark here so I’d appreciate your help.
