Ms. Herzog, In the last 15 years, we have had a two primary buildings that were demolished because of major fires and four other demolitions of primary structures. One of those demolished was the gas station for the construction of the Clayton Apartments at 915 Scott. Citywide since Jan 2004, we have had 6100 structures demolished, but that number includes ALL structures: residential, commercial, office, industrial, outbuildings, sheds, detached garages, etc. Brian Minyard, AICP Urban Designer City of Little Rock 723 West Markham Little Rock, AR 72201 bminyard@littlerock.gov Phone 501-371-4789 Fax 501-399-3435 Brian Minyard From: Garland, Ed Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2019 8:27 AM To: Rachel Herzog Cc: Minyard, Brian; Purifoy, Rick Subject: RE: Info on demolitions? Good afternoon, Would you be able to provide any numbers on how many structures have been demolished in the MacArthur Park Historic District in the last several years, as well as how that compares to other historic districts or areas in 2 the city? Looking into the issue in light of the demolition item on this coming Monday's Historic District Commission meeting agenda, and any background you could provide would be helpful. Thank you, Rachel Rachel Herzog Reporter, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Desk: (501) 244-4302 Cell: (410) 231-1467
