Sent:Wednesday, January 30, 2019 2:11 PM To:Minyard, Brian Subject:1019 Rock St-----Inspection Report Brian, Per your request I offer the following information with regard to the above referenced property. On Monday January 28, 2019 a site inspection was made at this address. The structure is a one story wood frame single family residence that has been vacant for a number of years and is very old. The structure was recently damaged by a fire and most of the roof along with the interior was basically damaged or destroyed. There is so much debris that had been storied in the structure that the condition of the wood sub-floor and floor framing couldn’t be determined. Also as a result of lack of regular maintenance and regular upkeep over the years also revealed that the roof covering and the roof structural framing was already in an advanced state of decay and rot. We couldn’t access the crawl space, however a visual inspection of the exterior foundation revealed that there is extensive damage to the masonry foundation and exterior wood framing members and wood siding. Also the front porch slab has completely failed and has collapsed. In view of my findings during my inspection it is my professional opinion that this structure should be razed and removed as soon as possible. It presents a danger to the general public and the adjoining property owners if it remains in its current condition. Thanks, Chuck Givens Bldg. Codes Mgr. 501-371-4828
