I have no knowledge if this has gone to probate or not. We will need to know that before the hearing on the 11th. Shawn, will you have someone check on the probate status on Friday of this week? Shawn, are you coming to HDC hearing since you are familiar or will you be briefing Sherri Latimer? Brian From: Overton, Shawn Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2019 11:29 AM To: Garland, Ed; Minyard, Brian; Purifoy, Rick Cc: Carpenter, Tom; Wisdom, Debbie Subject: RE: finishing staff report on 1019 rock street All, If this property is included in a probate estate I will need to get approval from the probate judge to demolish it. It is not a difficult procedure. All I would need to do is petition the court to allow us to demolish the property pursuant to our police powers. If anyone has knowledge that a probate case has been opened, or knows the contact information of the attorney that represents the beneficiaries of the estate please let me know. Thanks. I do not have the name of the attorney. Walter asked if she was representing the estate or representing the cousins. One being just tying up the loose ends or the other of ‘preserving the house”. I do not know the answer to that question. The attorney does have Kwendeche’ s certified mail notice. I have not heard from the attorney yet. I spoke with Walter Malone, my supervisor, and he felt that it was important to show all communication or lack thereof with the owners or their representative in the staff report. Please inform me of any communication you have with owners or representatives Monday morning February 4th. I would appreciate an email of “no communication” also. I will do a last minute edit before it goes to press.
