Thank you for your warn visit and your assistance on our project. This letter is to
inform you of the present condition of the house our church The Lighthouse Center
Inc, owns at 1414 Park Lane which is located in the Mac Arthur Park Historic
District.
As you are aware, The Public Safety Department informed us that the state of the
facility is unsafe. The Lighthouse Center will do ordinary maintenance and repairs
to the exterior to bring it to code. It is our understanding that a COA is not
required in order for us to proceed.
We realize that your commission's next meeting is November 2, 2000. However, we
have a deadline with the city to bring the house up to the code by October 23, 2000.
It is currently on the U.V. list.
Mr. Wally Caradine who is associated with Woods & Caradine Architectural Group
located in Little Rock is currently working with us on proposed projects to be
located in the district. As you know, Mr. Caradine is a resident of the district and
familiar with all preservation requirements. Again, thank you for your time and
you may address any correspondence to me at the address below.
