Arkansas State Archives This letter is in response to the proposed project plans submitted to the
Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) for our review. As you
Delta Cultural Center are aware, AHPP holds a Deed of Conservation Easement on this
property and we are required to review and approve any alterations
that affect the exterior appearance of the building and property
Historic Arkansas Museum grounds.
Mosaic Templars We have reviewed the proposed roof and cornice repair plans you
Cultural Center submitted. They include: removing the shingles and rotted decking
over the internal gutters in the cornice along with replacing rotted
Old State House Museum fascia boards, installing new decking where needed, installing a water
shield over the decking that goes up under the angled roof, and
installing a drip edge painted to match the cornice. AHPP staff
members have determined that the proposed work meets the
Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. We have no
outstanding concerns and approve of the work plans submitted. For
ARKANSAS HISTORIC phased projects, plans for each phase of the project need to be
PRESERVATION PROGRAM submitted to our office for review and approval.
