We are still waiting for minutes from scriber.
It was reviewed by Parks Commission on July 10, 2019 meeting. There were some comments along the lines of
how the Arts Center improvements will be a sharp contrast to the rest of the park. Aside from those, all
appreciated the proposed plans. No formal vote is taken in these incidences. Parks Commission is there to advise,
not direct.
I can explain better by conversation if you need further information.

What day was that held? I assume the vote was approved.
I would like to include this sentence in the HDC staff report.

This application has also been reviewed by the Parks Commission and was approved in their July 10, 2019
meeting.
I am trying to have my staff report done by lunch today and wanted to tie up some loose ends.

That was my bad. For some reason, I pulled sculpture out of that.
Minutes on Arkansas Arts Center have not been finalized, yet. As soon as they are, I will send them to you.

Please find requested document referencing Blooming sculpture. At the time it was reported to
Commission, I was not aware of the name, hence reference to ‘hanam”. It was noted in meeting
that sculpture would be located in city or on City Hall grounds.

I realize that is not how it developed over the next several months. Also, you may need to know
that Parks Commission doesn’t “approve” developments, but they do “advise”. As you can see in
the minutes, they had no comments in that direction. Consequently, Parks staff was given approval
to locate within these parameters anywhere of our choosing based upon our expertise.
Let me know if you need additional information.

I am finishing my staff report on the Arkansas Arts Center for the Historic District
Commission. Please send me the date that the Parks Commission approved this. Also, please
send me a copy of the letter, certificate, minutes, whatever form it takes, that states they were
approved. I would like to submit it to the Commission.
