Conservation Easement Project Review
Historic Resource Number PU2937
Dear Mr. Mallard:
This letter is in response to the proposed project plans submitted to the
Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) for our review. As you
are aware, AHPP holds a Deed of Conservation Easement on this
property and we are required to review and approve any alterations
that affect the exterior appearance of the building and property
grounds.
We have reviewed the proposed porch deck replacement plans that
include replacement of the following materials: tongue and groove
decking in the same dimensions and pattern that is existing,
replacement of rotted support joists as needed, cleaning or installing
vents as needed, and installing a vapor barrier on the ground and
inside walls of the porch foundation as needed. AHPP staff members
have determined that the proposed work meets the Secretary of
Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. We have no outstanding
concerns and approve of the work plans submitted. For phased
projects, plans for each phase of the project need to be submitted to
our office for review and approval.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at
Paul.Porter@arkansas.gov or at (501) 683-6672.
Sincerely,
Paul Porter
