Dear Mr. Ibrahim and Marad Elsaidi,
Your application HDC2020-003 for Awning Replacement, at 314 E 6th Street will be heard
before the Historic District Commission on February 10, 2020. The hearing will be held in the
Board Room at City Hall at 500 West Markham on the second floor. The meeting will begin at
5:00 p.m.
Your application will be item One on the agenda. You or your agent must be present in order
for the item to be heard.
Please follow directions exactly when giving ten days’ notice to all property owners as stated in
the application on page 3 instructions #4 and #5. Use “HDC2020-003” to complete your
mailing labels as shown in the instructions.
The application form states that “A description of materials for all exterior surfaces listed above
shall be provided to Staff at time of filing. Web site addresses are appropriate but cut sheets of
individual materials are preferred.” The following information will need to be submitted to Staff
by January 29, 2020 to complete your filing.
Please provide a illustration of a section of the awning to show how it is constructed and
how it will be flashed into the existing brick.

information requested above in a complete manner before 5:00 pm January 29, 2020 will result
in a Staff recommendation of Deferral on this application.
