I missed you on Friday. You need to file an application to ask the HDC to approve the fence as is or you to take the
fence down. Our filing deadline was last Friday, I was hoping to get you on the agenda then. If you could make it into
my office before tomorrow by 10:00 am, I could get you on the February agenda.
Please advise on if you are planning to go to the Commission or if you are going to remove the fence.

Thank you for your email. For future reference, anything over $500.00 retail requires a building permit. Any exterior
change in the MacArthur Park Local Ordinance Historic district needs either Staff or Commission approval.
I look forward to seeing you on the 10th. I should be available all day.

Mr. Minyard,
I received your letter regarding construction activity at my new home on Cumberland. I was advised (not by your office)
that I did not need a fence permit if the fence was under 7ft. and the same style as was already there. However, I
readily admit I am not familiar with Historic District rules. So, please forgive my oversight in not checking with you first.
I will be out of the country January 3-9, 2020. Upon my return, I will check with you to confirm if a fence permit was
required. If so, I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed.
Best regards,
Debra Wolfe
