HomeMy WebLinkAbout15068 • 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,068 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO 4 REQUEST A TOURISM ATTRACTION FEASIBILITY STUDY GRANT 5 FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LITTLE ROCK ADVERTISING & 6 PROMOTION COMMISISON TO CONDUCT A FEASABILITY STUDY • 7 FOR OUTDOOR SPORTS FACILITIES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Advertising&Promotion Commission("the Commission")would like to 10 determine the feasibility of developing outdoor sports facilities located within the corporate limits of the 11 City of Little Rock,Arkansas; and, 12 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock('the City") can apply for a grant from the Arkansas Department 13 of Parks&Tourism for Fifteen Thousand Dollars($15,000.00)to help fund such a study,with the matching 14 portion to be paid from the revenues of the Commission. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit a grant request to the Arkansas Department of 18 Parks &Tourism for a Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) Grant to help fund the cost of a Feasibility 19 Study on the placement of Outdoor Sports Facilities within the corporate limits of the City, provided the 20 matching funds for such grant are to be provided by the Commission. 21 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 25 resolution. 26 Section 3.Repealer.
