HomeMy WebLinkAbout21820 1 ORDINANCE NO. 21,820 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., ORDINANCE NO. 4 21,706 (MARCH 5, 2019) TO APPROVE AN EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND 5 DOLLAR($85,000.00)INCREASE TO THE SOLE-SOURCE ORDINANCE 6 APPROVED FOR AN ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER TO J.A.RIGGS,FOR 7 CATERPILLAR PARTS AND SERVICE FOR THE FLEET SERVICES 8 DEPARTMENT, WITH A REVISED ANNUAL BUDGET AMOUNT NOT 9 TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS 10 ($230,000.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,on March 5,2019,the Board of Directors approved a Sole-Source Ordinance,Little Rock, 13 Ark.Ordinance No. 21,706 for an Annual Purchase Order(APO)with J.A.Riggs; and, 14 WHEREAS,J.A. Riggs is the only authorized Caterpillar Dealer in Central Arkansas; and, 15 WHEREAS,the APO is for a one(1)-year term with two(2), one(1)-year renewal options;and, 16 WHEREAS,the Annual Budget for each one(1)-year term was not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Five 17 Thousand Dollars($145,000.00); and, 18 WHEREAS,due to unforeseen repairs and maintenance on various City-owned heavy-duty equipment 19 an increase of Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00) is needed to complete the 2019 Repairs and 20 Maintenance;and, 21 WHEREAS, for each remaining one (1)-year renewal terms the total term amount shall not exceed 22 Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars($230,000.00); 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. Little Rock,Ark., Ordinance No. 21,706(March 5,2019)is amended to increase the APO 26 with J.A. Riggs for Heavy-Duty Equipment Repairs, Parts and Maintenance for a total annual contract 27 amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars($230,000.00). 28 Section 2. The funding for the APO order is available in the various Fleet Maintenance and Parts 29 Accounts. 30 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 2] \__1 , 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 ordinance. 3 Section 5. Repealer.
