3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BELL CONSTRUCTION
5 CO., INC. TO PERFORM RENOVATION WORK ON THE FIRE
6 TRAINING BUILDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid #5244 was issued for renovation work on the Fire
9 Training Building, and Bell Construction Co., Inc., submitted the most responsive and
10 responsible bid in the amount of Four Million, Three Hundred Fifty -five Thousand,
11 Seven Hundred Six and no /100 Dollars ($4,355,706.00);
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
15 into a contract with Bell Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of Four Million, Three
16 Hundred Fifty -five Thousand, Seven Hundred Six and no /100 Dollars ($4,355,706.00).
17 Section 2. This project will be funded from 2004 Bond Projects, which will
18 include funds from 311 - 340 -FD01, 311 - 340 -RS17, 311 - 340 -GF17 and 311 - 340 -MR17.
19 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
20 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
21 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
22 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
23 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
26 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
27 of such inconsistency.
