Home My WebLink About15177 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,177 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO 4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT A DONATION 5 OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON COBB STREET; AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, numerous studies have been performed to explore developmental opportunities to 9 enhance existing and future programming of West Central Community Center and Park; and, 10 WHEREAS,the City has been offered a donation of approximately one-half acre of land adjacent and 11 east of West Central Community Center located on Cobb Street in Little Rock,Arkansas,by Reggie Corbitt, 12 son of property owner,Mrs.R.L. Williams,Deceased; and, 13 WHEREAS, Parks & Recreation Staff conducted a title search and environmental assessment for 14 Parcel No.44L1480004600; and, 15 WHEREAS,pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302(West Supp. 2019)a resolution is necessary to 16 accomplish such a transfer of municipal property. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute any necessary documents, in a form 20 acceptable to the City Attorney,to accept the donation of a parcel of property located on Cobb Street,Parcel 21 No.44L1480004600, more particularly described as: 22 S23 T1N R13W PT NE NW BEG OLD STONE FENCE LN E65'S130' E50' S150' 23 W115'N300' TO BEG. 24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 3. Repealer.
