3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GOODYEAR TIRES,LOONEY'S TIRES AND
5 SOUTHERN TIRE MART,FOR AN ANNUAL PURCHASE AMOUNT NOT
6 TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00),FOR
7 THE PURCHASE OF COMMERCIAL TIRES FOR THE FLEET
8 SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Fleet Services Department has a need to be equipped with optimal performance
11 replacement tires for vehicles currently in the City's Fleet; and,
12 WHEREAS,Vendor selection was made through the State Contract No. SP-16-0012(Goodyear Tires),
13 No. SP-16-0013 (Michelin Tires)and No. SP-16-0014(Bridgestone Tires);all three(3)vendors are on the
14 State Contract,and,
15 WHEREAS, no one (1) vendor is authorized to sell all brands; therefore, three (3) vendors must be
16 selected in order to access all tire brands that are used by the City: Goodyear Tires; Looney's Tires; and
17 Southern Tire Mart.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a one (1)-year contract with not more than
21 two(2),one(1)-year renewal extensions for an annual budget amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand
22 Dollars($100,000.00)with: Goodyear Tires;Looney's Tires; and Southern Tire Mart.
23 Section 2. Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Parts Account No. 600013-
24 60320.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
