HomeMy WebLinkAbout15153 RESOLUTION NO. 15,153 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO SET FEBRUARY 18, 2020, AS THE DATE OF 4 PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE SOURCES AND USES OF FUNDS 5 PROVIDED IN THE 2020 CDBG, HOME, AND HOPWA FUNDS FROM 6 THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS,as a regulatory requirement, a public hearing must be conducted regarding proposed uses 9 of 2020 CDBG,HOME and HOPWA Funding which the City expects to receive from the U.S. Department 10 of Housing and Urban Development; and, I I WHEREAS, the City's projected 2020 entitlements total Three Million, One Hundred Fifty-Five 12 Thousand, Four Hundred Forty-Four and 62/100 Dollars ($3,155,444.62); funding in the amount of Two 13 Million, Five Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand, One Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars ($2,569,128.00) is also 14 available, including Five Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Seven and 54/100 15 Dollars($579,777.54)in 2019 Program Income; and Six Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Nine and 08/100 16 Dollars($6,539.08) in reallocated funds; and, 17 WHEREAS,the proposed uses of the City's 2020 Entitlement Funds were developed with extensive 18 citizen participation, including five (5) meetings throughout the City and a seventeen (17)-member 19 Consolidated Planning Committee; and prior to this public hearing, the Consolidated Planning Committee 20 developed a slate of projects to recommend for Board approval so that the public hearing will give citizens 21 an additional opportunity to review and comment on the proposed uses of the 2020 CDBG, HOME and 22 HOPWA Funding; and, 23 WHEREAS, the Consolidated Planning Committee will submit an allocation of funds as its 24 recommendation to the Board. 25 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 27 Section 1. The 2020 Consolidated Planning Proposed Sources and Uses of Funding is attached as 28 Exhibit A. 29 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 31 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect 32 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the reso- 33 lution. 34 Section 3. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are 35 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
