HomeMy WebLinkAboutSupport Letter2Jim Lawson City of Little Rock Department of Planning and Development Re: 1723 N University Dear Mr. Lawson; Enjoyed meeting you briefly before last month's Planning Commission Meeting. My application was deferred until Feb. 4. In an effort to present a clear and complete picture to the commissioners, I have assembled information that they might review before the upcoming hearing. It is our plan to have a small office (2 to 3 people) at this location. The structure will not be changed, the residential appearance will be retained and enhanced, Superior maintenance and curb appeal will be a top priority for the property and for the existing rock wall on the University side. Traffic will increase little, if any, over that created by a residence. Low landscaping between the alley and proposed parking, with a defined entrance into the parking space, will greatly improve this highly visible alley. In canvassing the neighborhood, the response is overwhelmingly in favor of having a quiet office on this corner. Enclosed you will find a copy of a letter from John Jones who owns and occupies the property next door. We also have on file with Brian the support of 43 individuals and 3 neighborhood groups. You will find a map marked with green dots showing supporters in the immediate area. Other signatures and letters are from the Normandy and Heights -Hillcrest Additions. Thank you for looking over this information. Hope it will be helpful to the commissioners to have it prior to the hearing. Cordially, Mary Jane Bailey
