On August 16, 1977 the City of Little Rock Board of Directors voted to
deny your request for rezoning of the above property from "A" - Single
Family to "E-1" - Quiet Business.
Based on this decision, we ask that your insurance office vacate the
above -premises within thirty days from the receipt of this letter. If
not, we will need to refer your case to the City Attorney's Office for

SUBJECT: The History 0 3213 Asher Avenue
FOLLOW UP:
The history of this lot and this zoning request is as follows:
On or about January 14, 1977 I reported to Kenneth Scott, of the Zoning
Enforcement Section of Comnunity Services, that a violation existed at
8213 Asher Avenue.
The violation consisted of an insurance company office in a small firame
residence. This residence had been occupied for residential use only
since its construction in approximately 1950.
At the time of my report to i<enneth Scott, the office had been in the
structure a couple of months.
The Enforcement staff mace an investigation and verified the violation.
A notice was issued to the owner suggesting his alternatives, which at
the time were either vacate or file a rezoning application.
The owner waited several months before complying, and in fact received a
second notice to comply.
On June 6, 1977 the applicant, Ronald McMinn, filed the case now before
the Board, that being Case File Z-3128.
This case was docketed for a hearing before the Planning Commission on
June 28, 1977, and received the usual review by the Planning staff and
Community Services Department.
The second week of June, the Planning staff received comments from the
Community Services Department. These comments included on the case the
following two items:
1. A request for five feet of additional dedication for Asher
Avenue in line with the Master Street Plan.
2. A statement to the effect that the owner of this property was
unwilling to dedicate the five feet as requested.
This informaton was provided the Planning Commission in their June 28th
Planning Commission Agenda and passed on to the City Board of Directors
in their Agenda for July 19, 1977. The latest contact. with Charles
Oldham, of the Real Estate Division of Community Services, firms the
prior contact with the owner; that is, he is not willing to dedicate any
right-of-way at this time.
