THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AMENDING
SECTION 43-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS -OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the following properties
be and is hereby changed as indicated.
Subsection described as a tract of land located
in the E2, Sec. 29, T -2-N, R -12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly

force from and after its passage and approval.

PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: A REQUEST BY THE OWNER FOR
A 60 DAY DEFERRAL WAS FILED. THE PLANNING COMMISSION VOTED ON
A MOTION TO DEFER THE REQUEST UNTIL THE MAY 31ST MEETING. THE
MOTION PASSED BY VOTE OF (8 ayes - 0 noes - 2 un a positions).
Staff Recommendation: This application was submitted for the
purpose of obtaining a conforming classification for all the
properties involved. In th past, the City limits divided the
ownerships in this area and after annexation, some of the parcels
were not rezoned. A sizable portion of this tract is zoned "A"
and is occupied by a drive-in theatre and pasture.
This request was accompanied by a subdivision plat which con-
tained several problem areas such as access, ownership inclusion,
etc.
The Subdivision Committee is recommending that the plat be
resubmitted for the next meeting after dealing with those problems.
This rezoning request for Tract 3 is for the purpose of con-
structing warehouse buildings.
The staff feels there are questions to be resolved before com-
mitting industrial zoning in this isolated location. We would
recommend deferral until such time as the plat issue is resolved.

In view of the staff's recommendation on the Rezoning of the Asher Avenue Drive -In
(Case Z-3121) and Preliminary Plat on Tract 2 of the Village Shopping Center, we request
that action on this Preliminary Plat and Rezoning Case be deferred until next month's
Planning Commission Meeting. The owner of this property has been ill and thus was not
able to proceed with the necessary documents required for the subdivision plat.
Please advise if you feel the deferral will not be granted so that I can be available for
the Commission Meeting.
