c/o Office of Comprehensive Planning

Markham and
Tittle Rock;
Dear Sirs:
Broadway
Ark. 72201
reply to:
Post Office Box 4347
Fort Smith, Ark. 72914
In regard to the zoning notification I recently received
concerning the 7400 block of Asher Avenue, I would like to
submit the following statement:
Since the adjacent property is owned by Educare Center
and is used for the purpose of operating an elementary school for
grades one through six and a day care center for children ages
three to six, we are very much concerned over the fencing and
view of the neigh)?o_ring _.property . —}-
would ! _
I w like to request that, should the waver be granted,
a six -foot -high wooden privacy fence be required along the prop- 1
erty line between our center and the property requesting the
waver.
This would assure us that not only would any possibly un-
sightly areas be screened from our playground, but also provide
a solid fence for the protection of our children from automobiles,
machinery, and other potential hazards of the area.
At the Present tirne there is a large drainage pipe installed
by the highway department which runs from Asher Avenue across our
property and empties into a ditch which crosses the property in
question. I would like assurance that the plans for construction
do not impede this drainage plan.
If these two concerns can be dealt with, I would have no
objection to the zoning variance being granted.
Since it may not be possible for me to attend the May 22
hearing, I would appreciate having this statement included in the
record.
Sincerely,
EDUC r . TE'RS , INC.

3GA.ELEPHANT FENCE
Absolutely one of the world's strongest chain-
link fences—a 3 -gunge x 2 -inch mesh fabric
of vinyl permanently bonded to pre -galvanized
steel.
This Colorbond II fence is so tough, it can
literally stop an elephant—and hold back a
small truck or a dangerous rock slide. Where -
ever you need rugged dependability and
super -strength, specify a Colorbond II Elephant
Fence. You'll get the long-lasting durability of
vinyl bonded to the strength of steel.
'REDWOOD PRIVACY FENCE
Here's durable California Redwood, rough -cut
and stained with a special preservative, com-
bined %vith rust -resistant Colorbond vinyl -clad
steel wire.
This is a new kind of privacy fence, unexcelled
for durability, with no wood below ground to
rot. Its natural rustic beauty and vinyl -clad
steel strength make it ideal for homes, gardens,
pools, zoos, parking lots, and highway beauti-
fication programs.
