As a perent of a 1st grader in Wilson Elementary, this tends to upset me a great deal that the city would be even thinking of doing such a thing. There is already too much traffic in this area for small children to be in the middle of. There has been incidents reported in the field behind Borden Dairy of children " being molested. If nothing else, we need more protection from the city and not more confession. Anyone who has or who has had a child at this critical age should be able to appreciate my point of view for all -the security possible for our children. After all, this is part of what our tax dollars go for, isn't it? The well being of our children should be the number 1 concern of everyone. March 22, 1977 Little Rock Planning Commission Cita Hall Markham & Broadway Little Rock, Ark. 72201 Dear Sir/Madam, Rezoning the area around Wilson School would be detrimental in several ways. Traffic would increase, making it hazardous for children that are close enough to walk. It would cause some families to move away from long standing friends, which would take children from our school. Heavy traffic would cause much inconvenience to parents and school buses coming to our school. Rezoning to F Commercial could mean more noise, dust and odors. I do not feel that this is in the best interest of our school. Respectfully, airs.
