Staff Report: This area of the city has been involved in many forms
of redevelopment/clearance, Model Cities, Community Development
Block Grant. This activity spans 20 or more years and to date
there is not a specific land use plan for the area. In each of
the last 3 issues of land use concern: airport extension, Model
Cities/Urban Renewal, Community Development Block Grant, the
neighborhood residents have strongly supported no changes.
At this time physical improvements are being upgraded in this
area, such as drainage and curb and gutter.
Staff Recommendation: Without a specific plan for the area and in
the absence of .the usual rezoning relationships, the staff would
recommend denial of the request.

PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: THE PLANNING COMMISSION VOTED
ON THE APPLICATION AS FILED. THE APPLICATION WAS DENIED BY A
VOTE OF (1 aye - 8 noes - 2 absent).
Staff Report: This area of the City has been involved in many

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING APPLICATION FOR REZONING PROPERTY
t.
1The applicant (owner or authorized agent) shall appear at the Office of
Comprehensive Planning, City Hall and complete the required application
forms.
2�/The applicant shall submit as part of the application three (3) copies
of a recent survey certified by a registered Land Surveyor, showing all
existing improvements with all dimensions pertaining thereto.
3. A filing fee as prescribed by ordinance shall be paid at the City
Collector's Office immediately after receipt and acceptance of the
application,
4.After properly filing the application and paying the fee, the applicant
shall notify all property owners within 200 feet of the boundary of the
area involved by notice form provided sent by registered or certified
mail (return receipt requested) at least ten (10) calendar days before
the meeting. The cost of these notices shall be borne by the applicant.
(NOTE: This notice is not a petition of Approval or Disapproval)
5. The applicant shall submit proof of notification as required, in the form
of return receipts, list of owners notified and a copy of the notice to
the Office of Comprehensive Planning not less than six (6) calendar days
prior to the meeting date.
6. The applicant shall post the sign furnished at the time of filing at the
front of the property so that it can be seen. from the street, at least
fifteen (15) calendar days before the meeting. Tf Zor any reason the sign
should be destroyed or torn down, a replacement may be obtained from this
office.
7. The applicant shall be present at the meeting in order to answer any
questions the Commissioners or interested parties may have.
8. PLEASE NOTE: NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE ABOVE MAY CAUSE YOUR APPLICATION TO
BE WITHHELD AND NOT CONSIDERED AT THE MEETING, AND MAY REQUIRE THE PAY-
MENT OF AN ADDITIONAL FILING FEE AND/OR RENOTIFICATION OF PROPERTY
OWNERS.
