"E-1" zoning exists to the west, north and south of the ".E -1-A" zoned city block occupied by a nursing home. It is felt that the rezoning on Barrow Road would better serve the neighborhood by following the adopted land -use plan for the area." Mr. Bill Tedford, the applicant, was present and stated that Mrs. Parrish who lives across from the property had a meeting at her house of all neighbors. There is definite need for a convenience type store at this location. The street is level with no obstructions. He also stated that the application was for Lots 1 through 5 and Lot 11, but that he was agreeable to deleting Lot 11. There was one letter of objection from Isaac Ashford of 4200 Barrow Road. Motion was made to rezone Lots 1 through 5 to "F" -Commercial, which was seconded and passed.
