The Staff's recommendation was read as follows: "The Staff recommends denial
of the "E-1" and recommends instead rezoning to "MF 24". In the light of the
changing character of this neighborhood, it is felt that a multi -family use
of the property would have a stabilizing effect and prevent any expansion of
zoning to the west of commercial nature."
Mr. Dwight Linkous, representative of L&L Real Estate Company and Dr. John
Hundley, was present and presented the proposed plan for construction. He
said that the plans had not been finalized.
Mr. Melvin Gugino, 114 Steven Drive, was present and stated that he lives
directly behind this property which would be closest to the area. He did not
object to "E-1" zoning and stated that this classification would cause less
traffic than an apartment complex.
Mrs. Lillian Wood, 10005 Ronald Drive, was present and stated that she lived
behind this property and the parking area would be against her yard which she
was objecting.
Motion was .made for approval of the application to "E-1" Quiet Business
District.
