Dear Mrs. Czech:
The Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, appeared before the
Planning Commission on October 7, 1971, and received approval to rezone
Lots 1 through 12, Block 13, Marshall and Wolfe's Addition to the City of
Little Rock. This request was placed on the Agenda of the City Board of
Directors regular meeting scheduled for October 19, 1971.
My letter of October 11, 1971, requested that you -table this rezoning
proposal until further notice.
The circumstances regarding the continuance of this rezoning applica-
tion have now been resolved.
Please place this rezoning request on the Agenda for the regular meet-
ing of the City Board of Directors for the June 20, 1972 meeting.

grant to the Little Rock Housing
Authority for construction of a
180 -unit, low -rent, h i g h -rine
apartment building for the el-
derly.
The grant approval was an-
nounced Tuesday by the office
of Senator John L. McClellan.
Clifton L. Giles, director of the
Housing Authority, said Tuesday -
the building site would be art
nouneed in the next 15 to ?o
days. He said the site would be
in the "veneral vicinity" of

cause land acquisition negotia-
tions still were being conducted.
Giles said the project would
corer about oneblock. He said
that "probably around $300,000•'
of the grant would be used in
the land purchase.
This will be the third low -rent
apartment house for the elderly
at Little Rock funded by HUTS,
The Authority now is building a

house for the elderly at Eight-
eenth Street and Broadway. It is
expected to be finished late this
rear at a cost of more than, S3.6
million. HUD announced ap-1
proval of a $2,954,000 grant in I

ing to be located on the block
bounded by Tenth, Eleventh,_
Battery and Wolfe Streets, Con-
