through the Planning Commission pursuant to Arkansas law on City Planning, Act 186 of 1957,
Acts of Arkansas and Section 23 of the Little Rock Zoning Ordinance No. 5420 as amended,

Commission will be published at least 15 days prior to said hearing in a daily newspaper as
required by Act 186 of the 1957 Acts of Arkansas and Section 23 of said Ordinance, and that
notice of preliminary hearing before the Commission (PC -18) must be circulated by the applicant
to all other parties in interest, including owners of land within 200 feet of the boundary of
the area under consideration as required by the rules of the Commissions and that the cost of
these notices shall be borne by the applicant.

The Staff's recommendation was read as follows.- "The Staff recommends approval
of this application. This neighborhood is rapidly changing to a variety
of mixed land uses - commercial, church use, and a large school complex. It
is felt that an "E-1"use of such property would establish a buffer and
stabilize further expansion of "F" -Commercial in the immediate area to the
west and would provide a degree of protection to the school complex i+h ich
is approximately 200 feet to the west."
Mrs. Gatlin, the applicant, was present.
A motion was made for approval which wa-s seconded and passed.

Mrs- Myrtle Gatlin, the applicant, was present. The Staff recommended deferral of
this case until the February meeting in order that a proposed zoning plan for the
Geyer Springs area.can be re=studied and recommendation made to the Commission.
The applicant was agreeable to this deferment.
