Single Family to "I" Light Industrial will destroy the residential value of the surrounding area. This rezoning is unnecessary because the 65th Street Industrial Park, for one example, has plenty of room for new industries. This rezoning is unnecessary because the frontage road running beside the freeway on both sides has thousands of acres available for industry without encroaching on existing or potential residential communities. The existing business establishments are located in a concentrated area near the freeway and freeway access road. At present there exists a definite break between business and residential -areas. The existing business area located ajacent to the freeway is no justification in itself for expanding the business area through rezoning. We urge the line be drawn based oh existing business and not on expansion and further. encroachment upon the existing and potential residential community. I feel that it is unfair to turn over all desirable areas to industry or business and overlook the needs of private citizens for residential communities in convenient locations. It is dishonest to zone for the mere profit motif of professional land speculators, whose only reason for requesting this rezoning is considerable monetary profit.
