HomeMy WebLinkAbout15121 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15.121 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH DEPAUL USA, INC., IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE THOUSAND, 6 ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE AND 96/100 DOLLARS ($343,161.96), TO 7 OPERATE THE JERICHO WAY HOMELESS DAY RESOURCE 8 CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the City desires to provide daytime services for homeless individuals and families in the 11 Central Arkansas area;and, 12 WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for THE Jericho Way Homeless Day 13 Resource Center(Bid No. 650); and, 14 WHEREAS,DePaul USA, Inc., was the sole bidder;and, 15 WHEREAS,the Selection Committee recommends DePaul USA, Inc., for this contract award. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with DePaul,USA,Inc., 19 for the operation of Jericho Way Homeless Day Resource Center to provide services to homeless 20 individuals and families in the Central Arkansas area, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, for 21 a term beginning on or about January 1, 2020,through December 31, 2020, in an amount not to exceed 22 Three Hundred Forty-Three Thousand, One Hundred Sixty-One and 96/100 Dollars($343,161.96). 23 Section 2.This contract may be extended for four(4)additional one(1)-year periods upon sufficient 24 appropriation and mutual agreement of the parties. Any one(I)-year extensions agreed to by the parties 25 for 2021,and thereafter,shall not exceed Three Hundred Forty-Three Thousand,One Hundred Sixty-One 26 and 96/100 Dollars($343,161.96), plus a Cost of Living Adjustment(COLA) not to exceed 3%per year. 27 The COLA shall be equal to the percentage change in the "Consumer Price Index for all Urban 28 Consumers"in the preceding twelve(12)months not to exceed 3%. 29 Section 3. Funding for these services for the 2020 calendar year will come from the Homelessness 30 Outreach 20 Account. 31 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 34 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the (Page I of 21 1 resolution. 2 Section 5. Repealer.
